Calgary Farmers’ Market will be offering FREE World Cup soccer match viewing for the duration of the tournament, the most-watched sporting event on the planet.
Games will be broadcast on big-screen TVs at both the South and West Calgary Farmers’ Market locations, beginning this Thursday, June 11, with Canada’s opening match against Bosnia and Herzegovina featuring on Friday, June 12, at 1pm MT.
World Cup games will be shown whenever the markets are open throughout the tournament, which runs until July 19, with a number of vendors offering food and drink specials inspired by the nations on the pitch. Full details and viewing schedules will be posted online.
The announcement marks the latest in a string of exciting free events offered by Calgary Farmers’ Market.
