ORCHID PASTRY is a family owned and operated business that has been serving Calgarians and its surrounding communities since 2009.
Alireza and Maryam Khodaparast conceived the idea of starting up their own business offering traditional pastry, specialty desserts, and baked goods widely popular in their home land, IRAN. They have both lived in Calgary for over 15 years.
Alireza has established a successful career in the food service industry, being an owner and the manager of a pizza shop and later assuming district management roles for branded franchises in Calgary. Maryam loves baking Persian pastries and has done so for more than 20 years in various capacities.
