Jungle Farm's Pickles

Ingredients

  • Pickling Cucumbers
  • Fresh Dill
  • Garlic
  • Berries, of your choice

Brine

  • 12 cups Water
  • 1/2 cup Coarse Salt
  • 2 cups Vinegar

Equipment

  • 21 quart canning pot
  • jar lifter
  • funnel
  • lid lifter

Directions

  1. Sterilize jars.
  2. To a pint jar, add 1 dill head and 1 garlic clove.
  3. Stuff jars with cucumbers.
  4. Combine brine ingredients and bring to a boil.
  5. Pour brine into already stuff jars, leaving headspace at the top.
  6. Seal jars.
  7. Process in a hot water bath for approximately 5 minutes for pints, or until the cukes lose their bright green color.
